There's more info on AK from prior threads if you do an AK Google search re the TTS-3000, SME 3009 tonearm and Denon DL103D MC cartridge. I have been looking into the setup of this arm, but I have to be honest and say, Im a bit confused. The motor in the TTS-3000 is as good as it gets and would be cost prohibitive to build today. I have an SME 3009 S2 Improved tonearm with a fixed headshell on an ERA Mk6 turntable. In it's day this was a true audiophile turntable and even now could shame a number of current belt drive tables that sell for serious money. At the mentioned price you payed it's a steal. The build quality materials of the TTS-3000 is unlike anything you see today unless you get way above $1000. As for maintenance if not done recently it might require a new belt, oil the bearing and clean the controls with Deoxit, all fairly cheap items you can do. You can download the owners manual from Vinyl Engine website, VE probably also has the service manual, same applies with the SME tonearm and Denon DL-103D cartridge manual. The TTS-3000 was Sonys top of the line belt drive table circ late 1960s, the SME tonearm as you guessed is highly desirable, quite possible the cartridge is a Denon DL-103D which is an excellent vintage moving coil cartridge.
